PGI Slopes of Ambelos (ΠΓΕ Πλαγιές Αμπέλου)
In the eastern Aegean island district of Samos, the PGI Slopes of Ambelos (ΠΓΕ Πλαγιές Αμπέλου) zone (est.1990) comprises the vineyards outside the PDO Samos zone and, more specifically: the areas of Kallithea, Marathokambos, Neohori and Skoureika in the Marathokambos municipality; the municipality of Pythagorio; the area of Drakei in the Karlovassi municipality and the area of Paleokastro in the municipality of Vathy.
