On the island of Corfu, in the Ionian Sea’s northern segment, the PGI Halikouna (ΠΓΕ Χαλικούνα) zone (est.1995) comprises the area of Agios Mattheos, in the municipality of Melitia.
The PGI Halikouna vineyards are in the southwestern part of Corfu, at a short distance from the Korissia lagoon wetlands.
