In the southern segment of the Ionian Sea, western Greece, the PGI Slopes of Ainos (ΠΓΕ Πλαγιές Αίνου) zone (est.1997) includes areas of the island of Cephalonia and specifically: the areas of Agrostoli, Eliou-Pronnon, Livathos, Omalo, Pylare, Sami, the area of Lixouri as well as the communities of Agia Thekli, Damouliana, Katogi, Kouvala, Monopola Skineos, Soullari, Havda and Havria in area of Paliki.
