The southeastern part of the district of Fthiotida, Central Greece region, hosts PGI Martino (ΠΓΕ Μαρτίνο) zone (established in 2004), which comprises the areas of Martino and Larymna, in the Opountia municipality, and the areas of Malesina and Proskynites of the Malesina municipality. PGI Martino zone vineyards must be planted at altitudes ranging from 150 to 300 meters.
