PGI Sithonia (ΠΓΕ Σιθωνία)
In the district of Halkidiki, in central Macedonia’s southern part, the PGI Sithonia (ΠΓΕ Σιθωνία) zone (est.1996) includes the entire peninsula of the same name.
Sithonia is the middle of Halkidiki’s three finger-shaped peninsulas. To all intents and purposes, the PGI Sithonia vineyard zone is delimited by the same boundaries as those of PDO Slopes of Meliton. In both cases wines are produced by the same winery.
