The district of the Cycladic island of Paros, in the center of the southern Aegean Sea, hosts the PGI Thapsana (ΠΓΕ Θαψανά) zone, established in 1997 in the Lefkes village area, in the center of the island.

Varieties

White Wines: max 70% Monemvasia and the rest from the permitted and recommended white varieties such as Assyrtiko.

Red Wines: at least 60% Mandilaria and the rest from the large number of permitted and recommended red varieties.
