PGI Pella

The PGI Pella zone (est.1995) comprises the homonymous district in central Macedonia.  Until a few years ago, most of Pella’s vineyards were to be found in the area of Giannitsa. Gradually, new cultivations as well as new wineries were added in the areas of Eordea and Skydra. The 2008 revision broadened the zone’s composition in varieties. Today, PGI Pella wines are produced by three zone wineries within the zone which are expected to rise in number.
