SantoWines, (Union of Santorini Cooperatives) has been an integral part of Santorini’s historic winemaking tradition since 1947 and continues to flourish with the support of its 1,000 active members.

SantoWines successfully combines the latest in modern winemaking techniques with a strong commitment to the sustainable development of the Santorini vineyard as well as to maintaining the longstanding viticultural and winemaking traditions of Santorini that have been passed down through generations of dedicated members. SantoWines has also been instrumental in continuing the cultivation of other traditional artisanal agricultural products native to the island. Collectiveness, quality, authenticity and sustainable development of vine and wine of Santorini is our mission.

Situated in the village of Pyrgos, the winery of SantoWines and the Oenotourism Centre welcome visitors from all over the world as they enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the famous Santorini Caldera from their beautiful veranda and tasting rooms.

The SantoWines Research and Development Department participates in special research projects seeking to improve cultivation techniques, the vinification process and the quality of the wines.

We have created a nursery of indigenous grape varieties in Santorini so that the Santorini vineyard remains genuine and in excellent condition.
