Mylonas winery is a small family winery located in Mesogea of Attica, with almost one century history. Savatiano, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, Agiorgitiko, Mandilaria, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the grape varieties we cultivate with low yield, in 12 hectares.
Our aim is the winemaking of small quantities of Attica’s grape varieties so as to maintain high quality and gain the best characteristics of each variety. Our goal is the prominence of the Attica vineyard and the production of wines that will pleasantly surprise even the most demanding consumer. The most important help in this effort is the loving relationship between the family and the vine, the know-how the third generation has gained and the completeness of our new contemporary winery.
The winery is situated in a small town in East Attica named Keratea. It is designed and build so as to provide us the major help to produce high quality wines. The family owns 12 hectares located from 80m to 220m above the sea level. The average yield is 40hL/hectare.The soils are sandy clay, mostly over limestone with some schist and some gravely sites too. Surrounded by sea Attica has mild winters and cool summers that provide ideal conditions for viticulture. The average annual temperature is 18 °C. The north ‘Meltemy’ wind and sea breeze dominate the coastal zone in the summer lowering the temperature. Our wish is our winery to become approachable to everyone that want to taste and feel the magic of wine and winemaking.
