Domaine Costa Lazaridis was founded in Adriani, Drama, in 1992. It is the extension of a family-owned winery that began to make small quantities of wine in the early 1990s.
Starting with a 10-hectare vineyard, it now cultivates more than 230 hectares of privately owned vineyards with native Greek and other international varieties, maintaining low production to ensure the best possible grape quality.
The winery and its 15,000 m2 covered facilities feature exceptionally modern vinification equipment, areas for receiving and hosting visitors as well as all the required equipment for staging conferences and other events.
The estate employs about 70 permanent employs and numerous seasonal workers, depending on need. We also collaborate with some of the best-known consultants in grape-growing and wine-making, such as the “flying oenologist” Michel Roland, who visit the estate and offer their expertise in their areas of specialisation.
The products, which have received more than 600 awards in international competitions, comprise three wine families. The Amethystos family (white, rosé, red, Sauvignon Blanc and Cava), the Chateau Julia family (Chardonnay, Chardonnay Barrel, Assyrtiko, Semillon, Merlot and Refosco-Agiorgitiko) and the Domaine Costas Lazaridis family (Syrah, Viognier, Muscat-Viognier Naturally Sweet, Muscat-Malagousia and Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah).
From the very beginning, great emphasis was placed on exports, which now exceed 20% of production. Starting with Germany, we now export to the United States, Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and other countries.
