Fokiano is a red grape variety that was probably related to the renowned Pramnios Wine of antiquity. The grape is continuously cultivated in Ikaria today, however it is also spread in other islands of the Aegean Sea such as Lipsi, Naxos and Syros. There are sparse plantings in mainland Greece and especially in Macedonia.

Wines from Fokiano are pale-colored and the reds can be either dry or sweet. They often display ripe dark fruit aromas and some leathery notes. The grape variety is also responsible for a number of single-varietal or blended roses

Common designations on the labels are the PGI Aegean Sea (ΠΓΕ Αιγαίο Πέλαγος) και PGI Ikaria (ΠΓΕ Ικαρία).
