PGI Klimenti (ΠΓΕ Κλημέντι)

In the district of Korinthia (Corinth), in the northeastern part of the Peloponnese, the PGI Klimenti (ΠΓΕ Κλημέντι) zone (est.1996) comprises the area of the same name in the Sykiona municipality. The vineyards must be planted at altitudes exceeding 600m.

The PGI Klimenti zone occupies the central mountainous part of western Korinthia. The vineyards are planted on the area’s relatively large plateau as well as on the slopes of the surrounding mountains. The 2008 revision led to the broadening of the vine selection set for the zone.
