The PGI Kastoria (ΠΓΕ Καστοριά) zone (est.2006) comprises the homonymous district in western Macedonia. Zone vineyards must be planted at altitudes ranging from 600 to 1,000 meters.

The greater area of Kastoria has a mountainous landscape, with a typically continental climate. Nevertheless, the smooth maturation of grapes is helped by the important regulatory effect of the beautiful Lake of Kastoria.

• White dry, sweet from dried grapes
• Red dry, sweet from dried grapes

Varieties:

White Wines: Roditis, Sauvignon Blanc

Red Wines: Xinomavro, Sefka, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Merlot, Syrah
