In the southwestern section of the district of Thessaloniki, central Macedonia, the PGI Epanomi zone (est.1989) comprises the area of the municipality of Epanomi.

The vineyards yielding the PGI Epanomi wines are situated east of the Gulf of Thermaikos. The zone’s wines are among the most successful and highly acclaimed PGI wines of Greece.
