Good serving starts from… transportation! The especially high temperatures in Greece during the summer must be taken into account in the transportation of Greek wines inside the country, especially when the bottles are transported by car. Their placement in the air-conditioned passengers’ space in the shade and not in the trunk and avoiding keeping them inside cars parked under the hot sun guarantee that Greek wines will reach the glasses as they should be. In terms of their conservation, cellar conditions are the most desirable. But also a shady, quiet place with a stable temperature not over 18-20ο C will allow even the Greek white wines, famous for their virtue when fresh, to age and reveal a surprisingly complex character.
